What's New in the Complete 2007 Edition?
Although
there is no new material per se, every part of the 2007 edition
has been improved and updated. The latest version of Folio Views
4.7 is utilized, with an improved interface and MS Vista compatibility.
The Scripture index has been combined into one searchable infobase
with all broken hyperlinks to the EGW books fixed. Webster’s
1828 dictionary has been completely reformatted with every Bible
reference added and hyperlinked to the KJV Bible. All infobases
have new menus added, improved indexing, and enhanced search
functionality. Exporting to MS Word 2007 and other current word
processers is supported.

products. PocketBible 4 for Windows Mobile and Smartphones and
PocketBible for Windows PC or laptop is a powerful new Ellen
White and Bible software combination. It gives the user access
to the complete published books of Ellen G. White, various Bible
versions, commentaries and dictionaries on their desktop computer
and Windows Mobile device. The user can synchronize their personal

are NOT Microsoft Windows Vista compatible.
Neither CD will install under Vista without first downloading
and installing and running our HLV Vista patch.
NOTE:
The new EGW Complete 2007 version of our CD is 100% Microsoft
Vista compatible. Although there is no new content as such,
every Folio Views infobase has had major revision work done.
The White Estate will continue to work towards total product
support for the Microsoft Windows Vista operating system.

the following information for program bug fixes.
Issue
1: Some
Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 2000 users may not be able
to execute installation of the following Ellen G. White Writings
v.3.0 products: Standard Library Edition, The Complete Published
Edition, Legacy of Light Standard Edition, or Legacy of Light
Research Edition. If you need help on solving this issue, Click

Issue
2: Some users may
experience slow or abortive startup of their Folio EGW writings
v.3.0 program. If you are using Windows ME or XP,
and your CD has a copyright date of ©1998 or
1999, go to the following link for help on fixing this
'bug'. Click

ATTENTION
USERS OF Ellen G. White Writings: Basic
Family Edition 2005 or Complete Published Edition 2005. If you
are experiencing problems with installation (issue 3) on Microsoft
Windows Vista then read the following information about installing
an install utility.
Issue
3: The
Ellen G. White Estate now has a MS Vista HLV install patch that
allows owners of our Ellen G. White Writings Basic Family
Edition 2005 and Complete Published Edition 2005
CD-ROMs to install them on Microsoft's new Windows Vista Operating
System. Please
read carefully the instructions below on how to do this:
- First,
download the HLV Compatibility utility: HLV
Vista Patch (5MB)
- Second,
temporarily disable all
anti-virus, spyware and internet security software, such as
AVG's, McAfee's, Norton's, Panda's, Trend Micro's or Zone
Alarm's various security suites. These can block the HLV Compatibility
utility from running. Note: We advise that
you first disconnect your computer from the internet before
doing this.
- Third,
open HLV_Vista.zip, then open the HL Vist Fix folder. Next,
start the utility setup file in Administrator Mode (right
click the setup.exe and click "Run as administrator").
Next, 'double click' on the Setup file and it will install
the "HLV" Vista Compatibility Utility. The installation
program will set up a Desktop Icon for the HLV Utility on
your computer's desktop.
- Last,
to install the EGW Family/Complete 2005 copy-protected discs,
first run the HLV Compatibility program from its desktop icon,
and in the open window click the "Enable Vista Compatibility"
button. You can now insert the EGW 2005 CD and install the
software as normal. Upon rebooting your computer
the HLV Compatibility utility will no longer be running. So
if you ever need to re-install your EGW 2005 software onto
MS Vista, you will need to re-run this utility.
ATTENTION
USERS OF Ellen G. White Writings Complete
Published Edition 2007. If you are experiencing problems with
installing and running your new software (issue4), please download
and install the following Microsoft Service
Patch.
Issue
4:
The Ellen G. White Writings Complete Published Edition 2007,
requires that you have pre-installed on your computer Microsoft's
Visual
C++ Service Patch 1. Some older computers may not have this
service patch installed which will trigger the following error
message when running the software:
"This
application has failed to start because the application configuration
is incorrect. Reinstalling the product may fix this problem."
You do not need to reinstall your EGW software. Just download
and install the Visual
C++ SP1. Your EGW Complete 2007 software will then run Folio
Views normally.
Do
not install the patch if your EGW Complete 2007 program starts
normally after you have installed the software.
